Quick Tip: Line a brownie pan with parchment

With baking pans of all shapes & sizes available, it can be difficult to know the best way to get your cakes, brownies & other desserts out of them in one piece! We use parchment paper with almost everything we bake, because it makes it so much easier to get our delicious baked treats out of the pan in a snap! After all that hard work in the kitchen, we’d hate to ruin our dessert while taking it out of the pan!

So here’s a quick tip to help you line your brownie pan with parchment paper. Watch the video or see our step-by-step instructions below.

Step 1:

Place your brownie pan in the center of a piece of parchment paper. Then trace around your brownie pan.

Next repeat this step by tracing around your brownie pan on a second piece of parchment paper.

Step 2:

Cut the horizontal (longer) edges off both your first & second piece of parchment paper, leaving you with 2 long strips.

Step 3:

Grease the base & sides of your baking pan, by rubbing with a small knob of butter or use baking spray. Then place your first sheet of parchment into the pan horizontally. Spray or butter the base of your pan with parchment & then place your second piece of parchment vertically over your first piece of parchment in the pan.

Step 4:

Add your brownie batter & bake it up - YUM!

Step 5:

Pull up on all sides of the parchment to loosen it in the pan. Then use the sides of the parchment like handles to lift & remove the brownie from the pan.

Here’s to more baking fun & your baking success!
